Located in one of the most popular tourist paradises of the Börzsöny Mountains, the Riesling Guesthouse and Cellar offers true relaxation for its visitors. Far from the noise of the city, the closeness of nature provides a special charm in this enchanting little village. The peaceful, quiet surroundings ensure a carefree atmosphere for rest and relaxation.

ABOUT THE GUESTHOUSE
When designing the guesthouse, we aimed to preserve its authentic character while also meeting the needs of modern times. The house comfortably accommodates up to 4 people.
On the ground floor, you’ll find our spacious kitchen, which together with the living and dining area creates a truly cozy space, fully equipped with appliances, coffee, and basic spices. For your comfort and leisure, we also provide unlimited Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and air conditioning.
The sleeping area is located upstairs, featuring two single beds and one large double bed. For little ones, we also provide a baby cot (without sheets or bedding) and a high chair.
Our bathroom is equipped with a shower and a toilet. Parking is available in the courtyard.
In the cozy, well-kept garden, we offer the option to cook in a cauldron or grill upon request. On warm summer evenings, you can lie back on a blanket with your favorite drink in hand and watch the stars above. And let’s not forget the wine cellar, built in 1861 — its atmosphere is truly unique and a must-visit for lovers of wine and friendly conversation.
Every booking includes the entire house and courtyard! No other guests or the owner will be present during your stay.
Just a few minutes’ walk from our house, you’ll find yourself in the village center, where there’s a small grocery store, a café (that also serves food), a playground, and a restaurant.

Attentive and kind hosts who pay attention to every little detail. A pleasant, homely atmosphere — clean and well-kept. Delicious, beautifully presented, and plentiful food and wine. A truly lovely and charming little hideaway.
The host was kind and helpful, and the accommodation was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. I also ordered breakfast, which was delicious — I can recommend it to everyone! The interior design showed great attention to detail, and the whole house had a beautiful sense of harmony.
We spent a very pleasant three days here over New Year’s Eve! The house is tastefully furnished, and the decorations perfectly match the interior. The hosts are extremely accommodating and wonderful at hospitality. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jams. When I booked, there was no mention of a jacuzzi, so it was a delightful surprise in this cold weather. I recommend it to anyone who wants to recharge in a quiet countryside setting in a charming little house.

PRICES, INFORMATION
Price of the house:
1–2 people: 40,000 HUF/night
3–4 people: 60,000 HUF/night
The house can be booked for a minimum of 2 nights. During peak periods or holidays, bookings are only accepted for the entire period and for at least 3 nights. For single-night stays or peak dates, a custom rate applies.
Accommodation for children up to 3 years old is free of charge, and we offer a 30% discount for children aged 3 to 8. Please note that bedding and sheets are not provided for the baby cot, so plan accordingly.
The prices do not include the tourist tax, which is 550 HUF/person/night for guests over 18. The prices include the use of the house, garden, and jacuzzi, as well as bed linen, towels, bathrobes, coffee, and cleaning.
The remaining balance must be paid on the day of arrival. Available payment methods:

The house is available from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure; otherwise, an extra fee will be charged.
We hope you’ll enjoy every moment of your stay with us to the fullest. While you’re here, your only task is to relax and unwind. That’s why we’ve designed and equipped the house to ensure you have everything you need, and we hope you’ll love it all. We kindly ask you to take care of the house so that others can enjoy it just as much as you did.
Booking process:
- Sending your booking: Choose from our available dates and select the nights you wish to stay in the calendar. Fill out the form, which also serves as your consent to the processing of personal data.
- Confirmation: For every booking request, we send a confirmation email indicating whether we can accept your reservation. The email will also include the amount of the deposit required to secure your booking.
- Payment: The deposit must be paid within 48 hours. Your booking becomes final once the payment is received.
- In case of cancellation within 20 days prior to arrival, 50% of the paid amount will be refunded. If the booking is canceled within 10 days before arrival, 100% of the paid amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- We accept SZÉP Card.
- Payment options: bank transfer (We can send a qvik request, allowing free transfers from Hungarian bank accounts. We also accept SZÉP cards (OTP, K&H, MKB), Revolut, and bank cards. (Cash payment is not available.)
Upon arrival, guests are required to present their personal identification documents (passport or ID card, and address card) to the host for registration purposes.
The total participation fee refers to the number of nights booked in advance. If you decide to shorten your stay, we are unable to refund the unused nights.
Guests are required to pay the full accommodation fee and the tourist tax on the day of arrival via bank card transfer or SZÉP card payment.
Check-in is available between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you plan to arrive later, please inform us by phone.
On the day of departure, guests must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 a.m.; otherwise, an additional fee will be charged.
Upon arrival, our guests receive the apartment and gate keys so they can come and go freely.
Our main goal is peace and the preservation of nature, so we kindly ask that you avoid any noisy activities during your stay (such as loud music or shouting). Please pay special attention to maintaining complete silence after 10:00 p.m. If this rule is repeatedly ignored, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the property, if necessary, with the involvement of local authorities.
Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment due to the increased fire risk. (This also applies to electronic cigarettes and IQOS devices!) Smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking area. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the provided ashtrays. It is strictly forbidden to bring any flammable materials or items (such as candles or incense) into the rooms.
We are not responsible for any personal belongings left in the apartment.
Guests are responsible for their own behavior in and around the house and assume full responsibility for any accidents. Please keep the place tidy, protect the furnishings, and use all items properly (e.g., towels, pillows, blankets). In case of any damage, the guest is liable for compensation (e.g., broken windows, damaged doors, or furniture).
When leaving the apartment, please turn off the water and lights, and close the windows.
Any damage caused on the property must be compensated by the person responsible or their legal representative.
We kindly ask our guests to use the kitchen, dining table, or terrace area for meals. Everyone is responsible for washing their own used dishes and utensils. Eating in bed or on the upper floor is not allowed.
We reserve the right to select our guests. Intoxicated or aggressive individuals will not be accommodated.
The owner reserves the right to cancel the stay if the guest fails to comply with the house rules or disturbs the peace. In case of such a violation, the accommodation may be terminated, and no refund will be issued for any remaining nights.
Feeding stray animals (dogs or cats) is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! The guesthouse has no pets, so please respect this request.
Moving, rearranging, or shifting furniture inside or outside the house is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! If any damage occurs during such actions (to furniture, walls, or floors), the guest will be held responsible for covering the cost of the damage.
Do NOT adjust the electrical devices (such as the boiler or air conditioner) on the property, to ensure their proper operation.
By using the accommodation, the guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms of the house rules.

WHY NAGYBÖRZSÖNY?
The harmony of peace, quiet, and rural charm in one single place. Far from the noise of big cities, this small cul-de-sac village lies in the heart of the Börzsöny Mountains, where only birdsong and the gentle rustle of leaves break the silence. In Nagybörzsöny, it feels as if time has stopped — in the best possible sense — as you won’t encounter rushing, stressed people or the noise of traffic. Clean air, the melody of nature, silence, the sounds of the forest, deer calls, the play of colorful leaves, and the murmur of a stream — this is the place for reflection and true relaxation. You’ll find it all here with us.
Although Nagybörzsöny is a small village, it offers plenty of programs and sights to explore.
Located just 1.5 hours from Budapest, this tiny cul-de-sac village attracts hiking and nature lovers, as several trails start right from the village (including the National Blue Trail, the Yellow, and the Red routes). Nagybörzsöny is also home to one of Hungary’s most scenic mountain forest railways. And don’t forget your swimsuit — after a day of exploring, you can unwind and relax in the jacuzzi.
So, what can you see here?
Among other things, you can visit a watermill, the St. Stephen’s Church, the Miners’ Church, the Kanata Gallery, the woodcarving workshop, the local museum, the fairy-tale ceramics shop, and the “LekVárLak” jam house. You can also try the petting zoo or visit the nearby fishing lake. The area offers opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, boating, and cycling. Esztergom is only 25 km away, where you can admire the Esztergom Basilica — or, if you wish, spend an unforgettable day at the adventure spa.
Zebegény is only a 30-minute drive away, and just a bit further lies Nagymaros. From spring to autumn, these towns offer a variety of colorful programs, festivals, and events — all well worth exploring.
